POSITION DESCRIPTION |
The Land Link Intern will expand the Nebraska Land Link program’s communications protocols, recruitment model, and data management systems. Our Intern will streamline the application process for land-seeking and land-owning program participants while also improving Land Link’s databases and analytics to track program reach, participant engagement, and the outcomes of land exchanges.
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Review the current website. Suggest website updates. Assist in website updates.
- Assist in designing and executing a “County Extension” recruitment campaign.
- Update the “press toolkit” on the Land Link webpage.
- Connect with County Extension Staff to promote the program at the local level.
- Review the current application and matching process. Recommend solutions for matching challenges. Assist in implementation solutions.
- Land Seeker/Landowner Education
- Conduct a need assessment of educational needs for landowners and land seekers.
- Analyze the assessment results and recommend a course of action.
- Assist Land Link team in applying for grant funding to fund educational programs.
- Work with CAP faculty to develop educational programming to meet Land Seeker and Landowner needs.

STUDENT QUALIFICATIONS |
- Sophomore+
- Interest in agricultural economics, agricultural business, farm management, estate and transition planning, agricultural law, extension, or agricultural education.
- Willingness to learn software: Microsoft Teams, Excel etc.
- Ability to work in a remote environment.
- Solid math and writing skills.
